The Lexus RX enters 2013 with refreshed styling and numerous updates, but there's not enough changed in the sport utility to consider it an all new generation.
RX 350 and RX 350 F Sport models use a 3.5-litre all-aluminum 60-degree V6 engine with 270 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. RX 350 models receive a six-speed automatic transmission while RX 350 F Sport models are equipped with an eight-speed automatic.
The RX 450h hybrid is powered by a 3.5-litre Atkinson-cycle 60-degree V6 engine and electric motor making a combined 295 hp. Like most hybrids, motivation is sent to the wheels via an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission.
All models are equipped with all-wheel drive, though the hybrid only gets a part-time all-wheel drive system.

Premium Package 2 adds bi-xenon HID headlamps with dynamic auto-levelling and rearview mirror with integrated backup camera.
Touring Package adds 19-inch triple split-5-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, voice activated HDD navigation system with remote touch, XM real-time traffic, 12-speaker Lexus premium audio system with CD/DVD player, rear subwoofer, backup camera in navigation display, and one wallet size smart card key; removes digital compass in rearview mirror and six-disc CD auto-changer).
Ultra Premium Package 1 adds vehicle dynamics integrated management, premium leather seat surfaces, Mark Levinson 15-speaker audio system with CD/DVD player, front seat power thigh support, heated wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel, front illuminated doorsill trim, heads-up display, and rear cupholder wood grain trim.
Ultra Premium Package 2 adds dual-screen DVD rear-seat entertainment system, audio and DVD remote control, two sets of wireless headphones, and 120V 400W power outlet.
